Q: How do I sign up for class?
A: We prefer that you mail us the enrollment card along with a check or money order. However, you may enroll over the phone with your name and daytime phone number or with our online form and pay when you come to class.
Q: Do I need a company appointment to go to class?
A: No, you may take the class and the state exam without a company sponsor.
Q: How do I apply for the exam?
A: You may register for the exam online through Prometric at www.sircon.com. If you cannot apply online you will need to obtain the application and registration forms from the Louisiana Department of Insurance and mail them to Prometric. Refer to our "Insurance Links" tab for more information.
Q: Am I allowed to use my nickname on the exam application?
A: No. You must use your legal name as it appears on your driver's license and it must match on application and registration forms as well as the class certification forms.
Q: What if I have to miss a couple of hours of class or part of a day?
A: You must complete the required hours and days of any course in order to take the exam. Any time missed must be made up during another scheduled class, for the exact day and time missed before receiving the certification form(s) needed to test.
Q: What do I need to bring with me to class?
A: You will need to bring an ink pen and a couple of highlighters. Dress is casual.
Q: How long is the class and do we get any breaks?
A: The class runs from 8:00am - 5:00pm each day. Arrival time is 7:45am. You will get an hour for lunch and short breaks throughout the day.
Q: How long is my class certification good for?
A: The class certification is good for 1 year from your class completion date.
